Steel and timber haulage
Beams, trusses, packs of timber and building materials delivered and lifted where they are needed.
Detail
Steel and timber are the loads where a hiab earns its money. A pack of timber or a run of beams delivered to the kerb is a problem, not a delivery: somebody still has to get it across the site.
We collect from merchants, fabricators and sawmills across Cornwall and Devon and lift the load off where it is going to be used, including over a wall, into a first-floor opening on a scaffolded build, or straight onto the stack.
If you are having steels made up, it is worth asking us before the fabricator arranges its own delivery. The lift is usually the part that costs a day.
- Steel beams, columns and fabricated sections
- Roof trusses and packs of timber
- Collected from merchants, sawmills and fabricators
- Lifted into position rather than left at the kerb
- 10m reach for lifts over walls and scaffolding
Questions
Common questions
- Can you collect from a merchant or fabricator?
- Yes, and it is most of what we do. Give us the supplier, the order reference and when it is ready, and we will collect and deliver it in one run.
- Can you lift onto a scaffolded building?
- Within reach and weight, yes. With 10 metres of reach a first-floor opening is usually straightforward, but send a photograph of the frontage and we will tell you before the day.
- Do you deliver to private customers as well as trade?
- Yes. A lot of our work is for builders and merchants, but if you are having a garden room, a hot tub or a load of sleepers delivered and need it lifted into the back garden, that is the same job.
