Devon is a straightforward run for us. The A38 and the A30 both come out of Cornwall into the county, so Plymouth, Tavistock and the whole south-east corner are close, and Exeter and north Devon are a comfortable day.
The same lorry and the same crane: 10 tons, 30TM, 10 metres of reach. Plant, containers, steel, timber and general haulage.

Cross-border work is normal, not an exception
Plenty of our customers work either side of the Tamar and need the same machine on both. A plant hire firm with depots in Cornwall and Devon, a builder with a job in Plymouth and a yard in Truro, a fabricator delivering steel across both counties.
There is no surcharge for crossing the bridge. The price is the job, the distance and the time on site, wherever that happens to be.
Moor routes and lanes
Dartmoor and mid Devon have the same constraint as Cornwall: the direct route on a map is often a single-track lane with a weight limit and no passing places.
We plan the approach before the day for anything on or around the moor. If your site is down a lane, tell us and we will check it rather than discovering it with 10 tons on the back.
