Redruth and Camborne were the centre of Cornish mining, and the industrial character never really left. Between them they have more trade estates than anywhere else in the county, and a working population that still does things with metal and machinery.
For a haulier it is a straightforward place. It sits directly on the A30 with proper junctions, and the estates were built for lorries rather than adapted for them.

Straight off the A30, and built for it
Cardrew is the big one — a large trading estate on the north side of town with wide access roads, and where a good proportion of our Redruth work happens. Wilson Way and the smaller estates around it are the same story.
The town centre is a different proposition. Fore Street is narrow and steeply graded, with pedestrianised sections, so work there is early-morning work.
The former mining land around the town is worth mentioning honestly: there are shafts, adits and a great deal of made ground across this area, and on any unfamiliar site we will want to know what is under the outriggers before we set up.
